The All-American Rejects Poster Design Contest

Art Contest Info:

The All-American Rejects have a new album called "Kids in the Street" and over at Creative Allies they want you to be inspired to create a poster that captures a moment in your life. Be a kid on the street, but avoid literal depictions of children in streets. "Illustrate something beautiful that depicts a moment that is special to you." Completed entries should be a 16" x 20" poster, have a minimum resolution of 200 dpi and less than 60MB in file size. The following video is given to inspire your design.

Prize:

The grand prize winner will receive receive $500 and an All-American Rejects prize pack. The editors' and fan favorite will each win $100. There is also the chance to earn royalties.

Rules:

You must be able to prove ownership of any photographic elements. There is no maximum number of entries per design contest or per entrant. Contest is open worldwide. It is not required to use the band's logo

Mastodon - The Hunter Design Contest

Art Contest Info:

Heavy metal band Mastodon released a new album called 'The Hunter' in 2011 and in celebration want you to submit a design inspired by 'Dry Bone Valley'. All submissions must be original and submitted in JPEG or PNG format to the Talenthouse website.

Prize:

One winner will have their design displayed on on Mastodon's official website and as the band's official Facebook profile picture for one month and the winner will receive $1,000. One runner-up will have their submission featured in a gallery on Mastodon's Facebook page and will receive $500. The highest voted artist will also have their submission featured in a gallery on Mastodon's Facebook page and receive $500.

Rules:

Open only to individuals who have reached the age of majority in their respective jurisdiction. Not open to residents of Florida, Cuba, Iran, North Korea, Puerto Rico, the Province of Quebec, Sudan, or Syria. The selected finalist shall grant ownership of all rights in and to the intellectual property in the winning submission to Mastodon.

The Mass Chaos Tour Poster Contest

Art Contest Info:

Heavy alternative rock bands Godsmack, Staind and Halestorm are co-headlining the Mass Chaos Tour this Spring and are on the lookout for an official tour poster. Your poster must have the Godsmack, Staind, and Halestorm names represented at the same size in your design and include the tour name "Mass Chaos Tour". Creative Allies have provided you with the logos for each band included in the support files (but are not required for use in your design). Completed entries should be 16" x 20" and have a minimum resolution of 200 dpi.

Prize:

The overall winner will receive $500, a prize pack and 2 tickets to a show. There are also prizes of $100 credit for the Creative Allie's store for the editor's favorite and fan favorite plus the chance to earn royalties.

Doodle 4 Google 2012

Art Contest Info:

U.S. students are invited to create a Google Doodle for this years theme which is "If I could travel in time, I'd visit..." The doodle can be designed in pencil, pen, paint or computer drawing software. The Google logo needs to be in the design. Completed entries need to be submitted with an entry form which can be found at the top of this page.

Prize:

The national winning doodle will be featured on the U.S. Google.com homepage with the winner being awarded a $30,000 college scholarship to be used at the school of his or her choice, a trip to New York for an event on May 17, 2012, a Google Chromebook computer, a Wacom digital design tablet, and a t-shirt printed with his or her doodle on it. The winner's full time school will also win a $50,000 technology grant towards the establishment or improvement of a computer lab or technology programming. There are also prizes for 4 National finalists and the winner from each of the 50 states.

Rules:

Open to all K-12 students in U.S. schools (including homeschoolers). Only one doodle can be submitted per child.

Reggae Poster Contest 2012

Art Contest Info:

To enter this contest you simply have to create a poster about Reggae music. The objective of the First International Reggae Poster Contest 2012 is "to continue to build awareness for Reggae music and to celebrate the global achievements of Reggae and its impact on the world." Your poster should be 50cm x 70cm portrait or vertical oriented poster format. Completed entries should be submitted in either JPEG or GIF formate and may not exceed 5MB.

Prize:

1st place winner receives an Apple iPad 2 16 GB., Reggae Poster Contest 2012 catalogue, Tougher Than Tough: The Story Of Jamaican Music (4 DVD Box Set), The Bob Marley and the Wailers: Live Forever. Box Set, Bob Marley and the Golden Age of Reggae Hardcover Book, The Harder They Come and Rocksteady: The Roots of Reggae DVD. There are also prizes for 2ndand 3rd place plus the top 100 posters and winners will be printed in the Reggae Poster Contest 2012 book, showcasing the posters.

Rules:

Each entry must be an original work that you have created that does not include material in which a third party has intellectual property rights. Open to all graphic designers and artists internationally. Artists/Designers are allowed to submit any number of original poster entries.

2012 The Future we Want: Drop by Drop Design Contest

Art Contest Info:

The Drop by Drop campaign is looking for design of an advert that contains a positive message that inspires others to preserve water for future generations. Your submitted work must include the "Drop by Drop" campaign logo which can be downloaded from here. Completed entries should be submitted in JPEG format (RGB) with a maximum size of 1000px x 1414px at 72 dpi in horizontal or vertical orientation.

Prize:

The overall winner of the 2012 'The Future we Want: Drop by Drop' competition will receive a 5000€ cash prize. There will also be an award ceremony in June 2012 where the winner will be invited to receive the prize in Paris, France. The ad will also be published in print media across Europe.

Rules:

Open only to the 48 UN Member States in Europe. Participants must be 18 years of age and over. Participants retain full ownership of their entry.
