The Aesthetica Art Prize

Art Contest Info:

The Aesthetica Art Prize has four categories to enter: Photographic & Digital Art, Three Dimensional Design & Sculpture, Painting & Drawing and Installation & Performance. Submit digital images of your work sent as high-res JPG, TIF or PDF files and you could become a shortlisted artist and receive a group show in spring 2013 where the final winner will be selected by their panel of judges.

Prize:

The main prize gets £1000 prize money, a group exhibition in York, UK hosted by Aesthetica, editorial coverage in Aesthetica Magazine and publication in the Aesthetica Art Prize accompanying publication. The student prize gets £500 prize money, a group exhibition in York, UK hosted by Aesthetica, editorial coverage in Aesthetica Magazine, publication in the Aesthetica Art Prize accompanying publication.

Rules:

Entry fee is £15 for submission of two works in one category. Work submitted must be available for an exhibition in the Spring 2013. Work submitted must have been produced within 3 years. Artists selected for the exhibition will be responsible for their travel expenses and costs of their stay in York for the exhibition and awards. All works shown at the exhibition will be returned to the artists.

The UK National Open Art Competition

Art Contest Info:

The UK National Open Art contest is open to paintings, drawings, original prints and mixed media constructions (of no more than 20cms in depth). Artwork must be new or recent (preferably in the last 3 years). Art photographs will also be accepted but video art is not. To register to enter this art contest you have to register here and submit digital images of your artwork along with the registration fee.

Prize:

There is a total prize fund of £40,000 with the first prize THE TOWRY PRIZE being £10,000. There are regional prizes for The North, Heart, East, South, Southwest, London, Scotland, Wales, and Northern Ireland of at least £1000.

Rules:

Must live, or be professionally based, in the United Kingdom. Registration fee of £20 per artwork. May enter a maximum of 6 art works. You must hold all moral and intellectual property rights in that work. Accepts that the work submitted will be available for sale in the exhibition (commission 10% payable to The Chichester Art Trust).

Temporary Gallery New Art Awards 2012

Art Contest Info:

Enter artwork into this contest running for the whole of 2012. The contest has categories which are Art and Artist Marketing and Art Industry, Digital Art, Drawings, Film and Animation, Installation Art, Literature, Music, Paintings, Performance, Photography, Sculpture, Street Art. To enter entrants have to submit their work along with the entry fee.

Prize:

The over all winner selected by the judges will receive a cash prize of $2,500, iPhone Artist-App, Charles Hardman from one hundredth gallery is offering a group show including an opening night for our top entries. Catering supplied and a $500 voucher supplied by St Kilda Art Supplies. Further prizes to be announced (at time of listing). There are also awards for category winners and monthly recognitions.

Rules:
